伽玛射线暴后glow的早期光学极化

摘要
我们报告观测到的伽玛射线暴(GRB)后glow的光学极化,观测时间为初始伽玛射线脉冲发生后203秒,使用 Liverpool 机械镜头上的环形偏振仪器获得。我们对极化百分比给出稳健的(2σ)上限,小于8%,这与后glow开始时的火球减速时间相吻合。在该临界时刻,光学亮度衰减率与低极化水平的组合约束了GRB ejecta的标准模型,排除了发射区存在大规模有序磁场的可能性。
