Mukherji和Mishra在一维输运问题中对偶性的观测已被用来发展一种对稳态相图进行分类和表征的通用方法。相图由一组粗粒化函数的零点决定，无需详细了解微观动力学。在此过程中，确定了一类新的非平衡多临界点。
