期刊影响因子（IF）作为衡量特定期刊相对于同一研究领域其他期刊的影响力和地位的指标，报告了该期刊已发表文章的平均被引次数。尽管 IF 比其他指标受到更多关注且使用更为频繁，但它也遭受了诸多批评，这些批评甚至盖过了 IF 的优势。关键在于，IF 的广泛使用可能会破坏编辑和研究者的行为，从而损害科学文章的质量。因此，现在是时候及时且重要地发明超越期刊影响因子的新型期刊排名技术了。
