TW Hydrae中20 AU处盘间隙候选体的发现

摘要

我们呈现了一幅新的Subaru/HiCIAO高对比度H波段偏振强度(PI)图像,对象为与TW Hydrae相关的邻近过渡盘。盘的散射光从0.2"到1.5"(11-81 AU)被探测到,且PI图像在距中心恒星约0.4"(约20 AU)处显示出清晰的轴对称偏振强度凹陷,类似于先前HST图像报道的约80 AU间隙。方位角偏振强度轮廓也显示超出0.2"的盘几乎是轴对称的。我们讨论了解释偏振强度凹陷起源的两种可能情景:1)因为偏振强度轮廓中看到的浅斜率,可能在距中心恒星约20 AU处存在间隙结构;2)盘的内区可能正在发生颗粒生长。NIR和毫米/亚毫米波长的多波段观测在调查尘埃不透明度方面起补充作用,并可能有助于更精确地揭示间隙起源。
