HD 169142 外盘在 H 波段偏振光下的精细结构

使用Subaru/HiCIAO对HD 169142周围星周盘在H波段偏振强度(PI)下的日冕成像被呈现。在0.2" <= r <= 1.2",即29 <= r <= 174 AU处,由盘表面尘埃粒子散射的发射被成功探测到。PI的方位角平均径向轮廓显示出双重幂律分布,其中r=29-52 AU和r=81.2-145 AU处的PI分别呈现r^{-3}依赖。这两个幂律区域由一个过渡区(TZ)平滑连接,在r=40-70 AU处展现出明显的间隙。内幂律区域的PI显示出深最小值,其位置似乎与\lambda = 7 mm处的点源重合。这可被视为TZ中原行星的另一个迹象。观测到的PI径向轮廓由一个具有不规则表面密度分布或具有不规则温度分布或两者结合的极小耀斑盘再现。内幂律区域(r< 50 AU)表面密度的耗尽因子通过简单模型计算推导为<= 0.16。获得的PI图像还显示了外幂律区域中的小尺度不对称性。这些不对称性的可能起源包括外区散射面的波纹状起伏,以及内幂律区膨胀结构产生的阴影效应。
