GM Aur 过渡盘内腔的分辨近红外图像

摘要

我们展示了围绕年轻类太阳恒星 GM Aur 的过渡盘的高对比度 H 波段偏振强度(PI)图像。该盘的近红外直接成像是在 Subaru 8.2 米望远镜和 HiCIAO 上利用偏振差分成像得到的。获得的角分辨率和内工作角分别为 0."07 和 r~0."05。我们清晰地分辨出一个大内腔,测得其半径为 18+/-2 au,这小于亚毫米干涉图像的半径(28 au)。近红外和亚毫米波长下空腔半径的这一差异,可能是由距离恒星约 20 au、靠近空腔边缘的一颗 3-4M_Jup 行星造成的。近红外内腔的存在对过渡盘内腔形成的假说构成了强约束。已有研究提出尘埃过滤机制来解释亚毫米图像中的大空腔,但我们的结果表明该机制必须与一个额外过程相结合。我们发现外盘的 PI 斜率与从 HST/NICMOS 获得的强度斜率显著不同,这种差异可能表明盘内发生了颗粒生长过程。
