Double Chooz 利用反应堆关闭数据直接测量本底

摘要
Double Chooz 在现代基于反应堆的中微子实验中独具特色,该实验研究 消失现象,且能够在所有反应堆关闭的情况下收集数据。在本文中,我们展示了 7.53 天反应堆关闭运行期间的数据。应用与 Double Chooz 反应堆开启振荡分析中相同的选择标准,测得的本底率为 1.00.4 事例/天。振荡分析中使用的关于偶然符合、宇宙射线成因的 - 发射同位素、宇宙线子产生的快中子以及停止子衰变的本底模型,被证明在不确定度范围内是正确的。我们提供了事例的运动学分布,这些事例主要由宇宙射线产生的相关本底事件主导。本底率已按比例缩放至另外两个基于反应堆的振荡实验 Daya Bay 和 RENO 的屏蔽深度。
