描述了为疾病诊断开发的感知-神经网络的性能。患者状况信息由问卷回答提供。问题对应于在患者确认症状时产生信号的传感器。这些信号激发神经元，其中疾病特征由与症状指标相关联的突触权重表示。对应最兴奋神经元的疾病被提议作为诊断结果。其可靠性由最兴奋神经元兴奋度与整个神经网络兴奋度之比所定义的可能性来估计。
