Mu2e 晶体量能器的设计、现状与展望

摘要
费米实验室的 Mu2e 实验将搜寻无中微子的 相干转换这一带电轻子味破坏过程,该过程发生于铝原子核场中。Mu2e 将达到约 的单事件灵敏度,相对于当前最佳极限改善四个数量级。探测系统由 straw tube 径迹仪与由未掺杂 CsI 耦合硅光电倍增管构成的晶体量能器组成。该量能器被设计为可在严苛环境中运行:最热区域年剂量约 10 krad,且需在 1 T 磁场下工作。量能器的作用是执行 /e 分离以抑制模拟信号的宇宙线缪子,同时提供高级触发并为径迹仪中的径迹搜索提供种子。本文介绍量能器设计及最新 RD 结果。
