暗能量巡天第三年结果:点扩散函数建模

摘要

我们介绍了一个用于天文图像点扩散函数(PSF)建模的新软件包,称为 Piff(PSFs In the Full FOV,全视场 PSF),并将其应用于暗能量巡天(DES)前三年的数据(即 Y3)。我们描述了 Piff 用于 PSF 建模的相关算法细节,包括 PSF 模型如何随视场(FOV)变化。诊断结果表明,在 DES Y3 弱透镜分析重要的尺度范围内,PSF 建模的系统误差非常小。特别是,PSF 建模的系统误差显著小于 DES 第一年(Y1)分析的相应结果。我们还简要描述了一些计划中对 Piff 的改进,预期能在未来分析中进一步降低建模误差。
