暗能量巡天第三年结果:利用Balrog测量巡天传递函数

我们描述了一个更新的校准与诊断框架Balrog,用于直接采样暗能量巡天(DES)第三年(Y3)数据集的选择与测光偏差。我们系统性地将源自DES深场观测的近三千万个逼真星系模型集合注入DES足迹随机20%子集的单历元图像上。这些增广图像与原始数据并行分析,以自动继承那些通常难以用传统生成模型捕捉的测量系统误差。所得天体星表是DES传递函数的蒙特卡洛采样,并用作多种DES Y3科学的强大诊断与校准工具,特别是用于遥远“源”星系的光度红移与较近“透镜”星系的放大偏差的校准。恢复的Balrog注入被证明与Y3 GOLD星表的测光属性分布紧密匹配,尤其在颜色上,并在1%内捕捉典型星系样本真实数据观测条件引起的数密度涨落。我们发现Y3颜色校准极好,通常在约1-8毫星等内,但对一小部分天体我们检测到显著星等偏差,其与因邻近效应和混合导致的注入天体尺寸的大幅高估相关。我们讨论了扩展当前方法以捕捉传递函数更多方面并达到未来分析所需巡天足迹完整覆盖的途径。
