基于HAWC对100 TeV以上伽马射线观测的对洛伦兹不变性破缺的约束

摘要

由于源的高能量与远距离,天体物理观测为检验洛伦兹不变性破缺(LIV)的可能特征提供了独特机会。超光速LIV使得高能光子能够发生衰变。高海拔水切伦科夫(HAWC)天文台是当前运行于10 TeV以上最灵敏的伽马射线仪器之一。HAWC发现了来自至少四个天体物理源的100 TeV光子发射证据。这些观测在最强限制情形下将LIV能量尺度排除至2.2×10312.2\times10^{31} eV,超过普朗克能量的1800倍,且较先前限制改善了1至2个数量级。
