利用 LHAASO 观测到的超高能伽马射线探索洛伦兹不变性破缺

摘要

近期 LHAASO 合作组发表了在 100 TeV 以上对 12 个超高能伽马射线源的探测,最高能量光子达到 1.4 PeV。对来自天体源 PeV 伽马射线的首次探测,可能为洛伦兹不变性破缺(LIV)效应提供极为灵敏的探针;该效应在超光速情形下导致高能伽马射线衰变,从而呈现能谱的陡峭截断。本工作研究了两个最高能源。在其能谱中未发现 LIV 存在的迹象,并推导出了 LIV 能标的下限。我们的结果表明,一阶 LIV 能标应高于约 10^5 倍的普朗克标度 M_{pl},且二阶 LIV 标度 >10^{-3}M_{pl}。两项限制均比先前结果至少提升一个数量级。
