用 HAWC 搜寻银河系晕中的暗物质

摘要

高海拔水切伦科夫(HAWC)伽马射线天文台是一台宽视场天文台,对 500 GeV - 100 TeV 的伽马射线和宇宙线敏感。凭借每天对 2/3 天空的观测,HAWC 天文台对多种天体物理源敏感,包括可能来自暗物质的伽马射线。银河系中暗物质的湮灭与衰变应在天空中跨越许多度产生伽马射线信号。HAWC 瞬时 2 sr 的视场使其能够观测天空中的延展区域,例如银河系晕中暗物质产生的那些区域。本文给出基于 HAWC 对银河系晕 15 个月观测数据得到的暗物质湮灭截面与衰变寿命限制。这些是对于 TeV 和 PeV 暗物质最稳健的限制中的一些,且在很大程度上不依赖于暗物质形态。这些限制开始约束这样一些模型:其中 PeV IceCube 中微子由主要衰变为强子的暗物质所解释。
