KATRIN主谱仪真空系统的调试

KATRIN实验将通过测量氚β衰变端点附近的β电子能谱来探测中微子质量。积分能量分析将由静电谱仪(主谱仪)执行,该谱仪是一个超高真空容器,长23.2 m,体积1240 m^3,并带有约120000个独立部件的复杂内部电极系统。引导β电子的强磁场由谱仪两端的超导螺线管提供。必须考虑其对涡轮分子泵和真空计的影响。由6台涡轮分子泵和3 km非蒸散型吸气剂条组成的系统已部署,并在谱仪调试期间进行了测试。本文详细介绍了该系统的配置、在300°C烘烤下的调试以及性能。真空系统必须将压力维持在10^{-11} mbar范围。结果表明,该系统的性能已接近KATRIN实验的这些严苛功能要求,实验将于2016年底开始。
