本文研究了一种用于大型液氙探测器的全新时间投影室阳极设计,该设计由探测电荷的“瓦”组成。该瓦通过在 10~\si{\cm} 10~\si{\cm} 的熔融石英晶圆上沉积 60 条宽 3~mm 的正交金属电荷收集条制成。这些电荷瓦可被大型探测器采用,例如拟用于寻找无中微子双 衰变的吨级 nEXO 实验。模块化设计使得瓦阵列能够覆盖相当大的面积。每条电荷条的宽度相较于瓦的尺寸很小,因此无需 Frisch 栅。无栅的瓦式阳极设计对于 nEXO 这样的实验是有益的,因为金属丝张紧支撑结构与 Frisch 栅可能会产生放射性背景,且必须专门设计以适应向低温的循环切换。分段阳极还减少了大型交叉丝时间投影室中信号重建时出现的一些简并性。在装有液氙的单元中对原型瓦进行了测试。Bi 源的测量电离谱与包含氙中复合微观物理及探测器静电场详细建模的模拟结果取得了极好的一致性。在 570~\si{keV} 处观测到能量分辨率 =5.5\%,与文献中报道的液氙在 936~V/\si{cm} 下仅基于电离的最佳本征分辨率相当。
