贝尔不等式推导所需的假设通常不适用于存在任何热或量子涨落的随机场，这与经典两点粒子模型普遍满足这些假设的情况形成对比。对于违反贝尔不等式的实验，明确包含量子涨落对测量影响的经典随机场模型是可能的。
