Milenkovic 与 Compton 于 2002 年给出了将 Gosper 算法应用于随机输入时的运行时间分析。其主体部分是在对各种输入给定规律下对消去多项式 c(k) 随机次数的渐近分析。他们的方法使用了概率变换技巧。此处考虑了一类更一般的输入分布，并表明由 Milenkovic 与 Compton 证明的那类极限律可从一个一般泛函中心极限定理导出。本文方法为概率性的且初等的，并可用于计算极限分布的均值。
