本文详细介绍了为LUX探测器开发三维电场模型的工作。该探测器在两个阶段采集数据,用于搜寻弱相互作用大质量粒子(WIMP)。第一阶段结束后,在界定探测器活性体积径向边界的聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)面板中产生了随时间变化的非均匀负电荷。这导致探测器内的电场随时间、深度和方位角变化,对向上运动至液面的电子产生了一个径向向内的静电力。为了描绘这种行为,我们按月构建了探测器活性体积的三维电场图。这是通过将COMSOL Multiphysics中构建的模型与定期收集的均匀分布校准数据进行拟合来完成的。建模得到的平均PTFE电荷密度在曝光过程中从-3.6 μC/m²增加到-5.5 μC/m²。根据我们的研究,我们推断电场大小虽有变化,但整个曝光期间电场平均值约200 V/cm保持不变。作为这项工作的成果,变化的电场及其对事例重建和甄别的影响得到了成功建模。
