WASP-3b:一颗受强烈辐照的凌日气态巨行星

我们报告了 WASP-3b 的发现,这是 WASP 和 SOPHIE 合作组发现的第三颗凌日系外行星。WASP-3b 每 1.846834±0.000002 天凌日其宿主恒星 USNO-B1.0 1256-0285133 一次。我们的高精度径向速度测量显示出具有行星质量伴星特征的振幅变化,且与光变曲线同相。自适应光学成像未显示附近存在恒星伴星的证据,谱线双峰分析排除了微弱未分辨双星和恒星活动作为径向速度变化的原因。我们对宿主恒星进行了初步光谱分析,发现其 Teff = 6400±100 K 且 log g = 4.25±0.05,表明它极有可能是一颗光谱型为 F7-8V 的未演化主序星。通过对凌日光度测量和宿主恒星反射运动的联合建模,我们推导出 WASP-3b 的质量为 1.76 +0.08 -0.14 M_J,半径为 1.31 +0.07 -0.14 R_J。宿主恒星的邻近性和相对温度表明 WASP-3b 是已知最热的系外行星之一,因此具有对系外行星大气模型施加严格约束的潜力。
