WASP-38b:一颗轨道周期为6.87天、偏心率非零的凌星系外行星

摘要
我们报告了WASP-38b的发现,这是一颗长周期凌星行星,轨道周期为6.871815天,轨道偏心率非零。凌星历元为2455335.92050 ± 0.00074(HJD),凌星持续时间为4.663小时。WASP-38b的发现得益于SuperWASP-North相机的升级。我们对宿主恒星HD 146389/BD+10 2980进行了光谱分析,得到有效温度Teff = 6150 ± 80K,表面重力logg = 4.3 ± 0.1,自转速度vsini = 8.6 ± 0.4 km/s,恒星质量M* = 1.16 ± 0.04 Msun,恒星半径R* = 1.33 ± 0.03 Rsun,与F8型矮星一致。假设恒星满足主序星质量-半径关系,我们同时拟合了径向速度变化和凌星光变曲线,以估算轨道和行星参数。该行星的质量为2.69 ± 0.06 Mjup,半径为1.09 ± 0.03 Rjup,密度ρ_p = 2.1 ± 0.1 ρ_jup。由于光变曲线和径向速度形状提供了相对凌星时间的高精度测量,偏心率e = 0.0314 ± 0.0044的精度很高。行星平衡温度估计为1292 ± 33K。WASP-38b是SuperWASP-North发现的行星中周期最长的,且其宿主恒星较亮(V = 9.4等),是后续大气研究的良好候选目标。
