高维生物学中的统一理论:方法、挑战与机遇

摘要
在生物学的各个子学科中,过去十年见证了高维数据集的爆炸式增长,包括细胞、物种、免疫系统、神经元和行为的数据集。在 ICTS “高维生物物理学中的统一理论”研讨会上,我们讨论了这种高维度对于在理论上描述、理解和预测生物系统究竟是挑战还是机遇。我们讨论了有助于基于这些高维数据集解决经验观察的方法、模型和框架。下面我们根据与会者的个人发言,总结了讨论中涌现的挑战与机遇。
