凌星附近晚型 M 矮星的两颗温带超级地球

摘要

在 JWST 时代,凌星附近晚型 M 矮星的温带类地系外行星为表征其大气以及搜寻生物标志气体提供了独特的机会。我们在此报告发现并验证了两颗凌星 LP 890-9 (TOI-4306, SPECULOOS-2) 的温带超级地球,这是一颗活动性相对较低的附近 (32 pc) M6V 星。内行星 LP 890-9b 最初基于四个扇区的数据被 TESS 探测到(并被识别为 TOI-4306.01)。随后利用 SPECULOOS 南方天文台对该系统进行密集的光度监测,发现了第二颗外侧凌星行星 LP 890-9c(也被识别为 SPECULOOS-2c),此前未被 TESS 探测到。这第二颗行星的轨道周期随后被 MuSCAT3 的后续观测所确认。LP 890-9 的质量为 0.118±\pm0.002 MM_\odot,半径为 0.1556±\pm0.0086 RR_\odot,有效温度为 2850±\pm75 K,是迄今为止发现的拥有行星的第二冷恒星,仅次于 TRAPPIST-1。内行星的轨道周期为 2.73 d,半径为 1.3200.027+0.0531.320_{-0.027}^{+0.053} RR_\oplus,接收的入射恒星辐射通量为 4.09±\pm0.12 SS_\oplus。外行星具有相似的大小,为 1.3670.039+0.0551.367_{-0.039}^{+0.055} RR_\oplus,轨道周期为 8.46 d。其接收的入射恒星辐射通量为 0.906 ±\pm 0.026 SS_\oplus,位于保守宜居带内,非常接近其内边界。尽管这两颗行星的质量尚待测量,我们利用质量-半径关系估计了它们通过透射光谱进行大气表征的潜力,发现继 TRAPPIST-1 行星之后,LP 890-9c 是迄今为止已知的第二适宜大气表征的宜居带类地行星。这一显著系统的发现为研究我们最小且最冷邻居周围的温带类地行星提供了又一个难得的机会。
