一颗超级地球与亚海王星凌星晚型M矮星LP 791-18

摘要

行星在冷矮星周围出现得最为频繁,但已知绕行最晚型M星的特定例子寥寥无几。利用TESS测光,我们报告发现了两颗凌星低质量恒星LP 791-18(被TESS编号为TOI 736)的行星。该星光谱型为M6V,有效温度2960 K,半径0.17 R_Sun,是已知第三冷的可宿主行星的恒星。这两颗行星横跨较小系外行星中观察到的半径间隙;它们包括一颗轨道周期0.95天、半径1.1 R_Earth的行星,和一颗轨道周期5天、半径2.3 R_Earth的行星。由于宿主恒星较小,这些行星凌星时的光变损失相当大(0.4%和1.7%)。这使我们能够从地基测光中探测到两颗行星的凌星,并精化了它们的半径和轨道星历。未来,视向速度观测和透射光谱均可探测这些行星的整体内部与大气组成,而额外的测光监测将对更小的凌星行星敏感。
