摘要

宽场监测仪 (WFM) 是 Spectroscopic Time-Resolving Observatory for Broadband Energy X-rays (STROBE-X) 任务中的三个仪器之一,该任务是针对 NASA 2023 年探针类任务呼叫提出的。WFM 是一种编码掩模相机系统,将是飞届上最具科学能力的宽角监测仪。其场视野覆盖天空三分之一,至 50% 掩码编码,能量灵敏度为 2 to 50 keV。WFM 旨在识别新的 X 射线瞬态现象,并以前所未有的质量捕获已知源的光谱和时序变化。科学应用涵盖多样类群,包括与引力波检测同步的 X 射线暴、伽马射线暴及其从快速发射向后glow 的过渡、可能信号超新星冲击破裂的亚光亮 GRB、吸积致密天体及其喷流的状态转变、快速 X 射线瞬态现象中的明亮闪烁、过渡性脉冲星的吸积开始,以及来自多种活跃星体的皮质闪烁。
