恒星丰度与星系演化巡天(SAGES)——I. 总体描述与首次数据发布(DR1)

摘要

北半球恒星丰度与星系演化巡天(SAGES)是一项专门设计的多波段测光巡天,旨在提供精度可与低分辨率光学光谱相媲美的可靠恒星参数。其使用斯图尔德天文台的2.3米Bok望远镜及另外三台望远镜开展。在usu_svsv_s波段的总观测产生了36,092帧图像,覆盖约9960平方度的天区。两波段所有观测场的中位巡天完备度分别为us=20.4u_{\rm s}=20.4 mag与vs=20.3v_s=20.3 mag,而信噪比(S/N)为100的极限星等相应为us17u_s\sim17 mag与vs18v_s\sim18 mag。我们将星表与全景巡天望远镜与快速响应系统(Pan-STARRS1, PS1)首批数据发布(DR1)星表合并,获得共计48,553,987个源,其在SAGES的usu_svsv_s与PS1的grizygrizy波段中均至少有一次测光测量,此即SAGES的DR1,将于本文中发布。我们将grigri点源测光与PS1比较,发现同波段PS1与SAGES差异的RMS散度为2\sim2%。我们估计SAGES内部测光精度约为1\sim1%。基于与Gaia任务DR1的比较,天体测量精度优于0.20^{\prime\prime}.2。本文还描述了最终终端用户数据库,并给出若干科学应用。
