帕克斯银河系全天巡天(GASS)是利用帕克斯射电望远镜对南天天区赤纬δ ≤ 1°的银河系原子氢(HI)发射进行的巡天。该巡天覆盖2π球面度,有效角分辨率约为16角分,速度分辨率为1.0 km/s,均方根亮温度噪声为57 mK。GASS是南天天区有史以来灵敏度最高、角分辨率最高的银河系HI发射巡天。本文概述了巡天目标,描述了观测和数据分析过程,并发布了首批数据。数据产品为全分辨率单立方体,未进行杂散辐射校正。巡天的光谱及其他数据产品可在网上公开获取。
