COSMOS光学与近红外观测数据及星表的首次发布

摘要

我们展示了COSMOS巡天在0.3um至2.4um之间15个测光波段的成像数据与测光结果。这些数据包括在Subaru 8.3m望远镜、KPNO和CTIO 4m望远镜以及CFHT 3.6m望远镜上获取的观测数据。我们采用特殊技术以确保整个视场内的相对测光定标优于1%。由标准星测量得到的绝对测光精度为6%。绝对定标利用星系光谱进行了修正,提供的颜色精度达到2%或更好。恒星与星系的颜色和计数与预期值吻合良好。最后,作为这些数据科学分析的第一步,我们构建了全波段计数,证实了宇宙的几何结构与星系族群均在演化。
