摘要

Simons天文台(Simons Observatory, SO)是一项宇宙微波背景(CMB)调查实验,包括小型光学透镜望远镜(small-aperture telescopes, SATs),将在智利阿塔卡马沙德尔海拔5200米的高度观测。SO SATs将覆盖27至280 GHz之间的六个光谱带,旨在以σ(r)=0.002\sigma(r)=0.002的灵敏度搜索原始B极化,并将系统误差控制在该水平以下。每个SAT都是一个自包含的干�仪望远镜,具有35度场视角、42厘米口径、40 K半波片、1 K折射光学器件和<0.1 K的焦平面,焦平面上拥有>12,000个TES探测器。我们描述了SAT的正式设计,并就93 GHz和145 GHz运行的望远镜的集成与测试进行了详细阐述。
