摘要
双子座高分辨率光学光谱仪(GHOST)是安装在双子座南望远镜上的一套光纤馈送光谱仪系统,可同时覆盖348至1061纳米波长范围,并针对363至950纳米区间进行了最优性能设计。它能在7.5角分直径的视场内以R=56,000的分辨率同时观测两个目标,或以R=75,000的分辨率观测单个目标。光谱分辨率模式通过积分视场单元实现:在高分辨率模式下,使用19根光纤将1.2角秒孔径的像切分为五倍宽度;在标准分辨率模式下,使用7根光纤将其切分为三倍宽度。GHOST配备了用于精密径向速度测量的硬件,预期精度可达米每秒量级。本文描述了GHOST的基本设计和运行能力,并进一步推导和量化了与其科学用户最相关的在轨性能关键方面。
