早期 B 型超巨星 LMC 星 BI 108 具有光度变异性，其光变曲线独特；存在两个强周期，几乎精确地处于 3:2 共振状态。我们在 VLT/UVES 收集了光谱数据，在十个历元中对 10.733 天的超级周期进行了采样。我们发现了一个 SB2 系统的光谱特征，该系统由两颗大质量 B1 型超巨星组成，轨道周期为 5.366 天。较短的周期性类似于周期为 3.578 天的食双星光变曲线，但在数据中未检测到该周期。我们讨论了短周期的可能原因，并得出结论认为四重星系统是一个更合理的假设。
