T Pyx 是一颗再发新星，几乎每 20 年爆发一次，直到 1967 年至 2011 年间进入长期宁静期。我们在光学和近红外波段以中等光谱分辨率观测了期待已久的 2011 年爆发。在本文中，我们报告了新星光谱类型的变化（包括在其增亮和变暗期间），以及观测到的膨胀速度变化。我们还提出了对这些变化的解释，并将其置于对新星分类的新理解的总体框架中。
