Murchison 宽视场阵列 (MWA) 是平方公里阵列 (SKA) 的先导项目。该望远镜位于西澳大利亚 (WA) 的 Murchison 射电天文台 (MRO)。MWA 由 4096 个偶极子组成,排列成 128 个双偏振孔径阵列,形成一个连接元件干涉仪,对所有 256 个输入信号进行互相关处理。相关任务采用混合方法,部分处理阶段由基于现场可编程门阵列 (FPGA) 的定制硬件执行,其他阶段则由托管在通用机架式服务器中的图形处理器 (GPU) 执行。所需的相关处理能力约为 8 TFLOPS(每秒万亿次浮点运算)。MWA 已开始运行,相关器每天生成 8.3 TB 的相关产物,随后实时从 MRO 传输 700 公里至珀斯 (WA) 进行存储和离线处理。本文概述了相关器的设计、信号路径和处理元件,并展示了内部和外部接口的数据格式。
