我们审查了关于早型星系光谱流行星的当前研究进展，包括局部和中间红移处的观测结果。特别地，我们聚焦于这些星系的年龄及其演化，以确定其星星的形成时刻。由于仍存严重的系统不确定性，我们无法精确限制这些时刻。我们讨论了在其他可观测量的背景下，我们的结果如何解释，例如早型星系基本平面（Fundamental Plane）的演化。
