金属丰度对Cepheid Period-Luminosity关系的影响

我们提出了一项观察计划，旨在确立化学成分对Cepheid Period-Luminosity关系的影响。数据与基于非线性对流模型的理论预测良好吻合，表明Period-Luminosity关系对金属丰度具有相当强的依赖性，即更金属丰富的恒星在其他情况下将显得更暗。我们的数据表明，若忽视金属丰度的作用，推导距离的误差可达10%。
