铱度对 Cepheid 标定的影响

摘要
我们指出，已被用于当地 Cepheid 周期-亮度关系标定的银河 Cepheids 绝对亮度显示出意外大的金属丰度效应。这表明要么 Cepheids 周期-亮度关系具有远超星体脉冲模型预期的大型金属丰度依赖性，要么则是由于忽略金属丰度效应而导致的星系际（unreddened）距离到簇的系统性误差较大。该效应可能将使用 Cepheid PL 关系估计到 LMC 距离的不确定性引入约 --0.4 到 +0.1 幺度。
