天体测距Cepheids的当前不确定性

摘要
考察了校准银河系Cepheids光度和确定Cepheids红化的两种方法。结合NGC4258的研究，这种校准至少对接近太阳金属丰度的Cepheids有效至约0.1mag（标准误）。金属丰度效应也被考察，部分通过使用非Cepheid星系的LMC模量来实现。要将不确定性大幅降低到0.1mag以下，需要对金属丰度效应进行大量研究。周期-光度关系和周期-颜色关系中的非线性现象也需要考虑，以及是否能明确区分基本脉冲星和二次脉冲星。
