宇宙起源摄谱仪:在轨仪器性能

摘要

宇宙起源摄谱仪(COS)于2009年5月作为第4次维修任务的一部分安装于哈勃太空望远镜上,旨在提供远紫外和近紫外波段(FUV、NUV)的高灵敏度、中低分辨率光谱。COS是迄今为止已发射的最灵敏的FUV/NUV摄谱仪,其波长覆盖范围为900{\AA}至3200{\AA},峰值有效面积接近3000 cm^2。本文描述了仪器设计、维修任务在轨验证(SMOV)的结果以及持续的性能监测计划。
