针对背景受限远紫外观测提出的新型无间隙COS G140L模式

摘要

在此我们描述了哈勃空间望远镜(HST)上的宇宙起源光谱仪(COS)的一种新G140L观测模式的观测与定标流程。该模式CENWAV = 800旨在将远紫外波段完全移至A段探测器上,从而通过简化两个通道间的定标管理并减少该波长区域的像散,实现更高效的观测与分析。我们还描述了该新模式尤其适用的一些科学兴趣领域。
