我们证明了超大质量黑洞 (SMBH) 质量与椭圆星系和 bulges 整体结构之间的强相关性：更集中中心的 bulges 和椭圆星系 (更高 Sersic 指数 ) 托管更重的黑洞。这种相关性与此前发现的 SMBH 质量与中心速度散列之间的相关性相当好，且散射程度相当。此外，通过严格建模 disk galaxy 的 bulges 以避免 bar、内盘等意外贡献 bulge 光学，我们发现 SMBH 质量与 bulge 或椭圆星系亮度之间的相关性同样紧密。
