红移z=0.3处星系的星团星系光度函数：暗端增亮的近期起源？

我们推导了Abell 1835（z=0.25）和AC 114（z=0.31）中星系到Mz=-15的深度光度函数，并与69个星团的本地z'光度函数进行了比较。数据显示，暗端增亮——即Mz<-17处超出单一Schechter函数的星系过量——在更高红移的星团中并不存在。这表明暗端增亮星系是近期产生的，可能是通过星形成场种群落入星团，或通过较亮天体的潮汐瓦解而产生的。
