摘要
我们描述了在 CLEO 实验中用于识别带电粒子的环形成像切伦科夫探测器(RICH)的设计、建造与性能。切伦科夫辐射产生于 LiF 晶体中,包括平面晶体和具有新颖“锯齿形”出射表面的晶体。波长区间 135--165 nm 的光子使用填充甲烷气体与三乙胺蒸气混合物的多丝室探测。实验展示了优异的π介子/介子分离能力。
