系外行星 HD 118203 b 围绕一颗明亮(V = 8.05)的宿主恒星运转,由 da Silva 等人(2006)通过径向速度法发现,但此前未知其会发生凌星。TESS 测光揭示该行星在其宿主恒星前凌星。TESS 观测到了五次行星凌星,使我们能够测得行星半径为 ,并算出行星质量为 。宿主恒星略有演化,有效温度 K,表面重力 。轨道周期为 天,离心率为 ,该行星处于圆化热木星与更长轨道周期上动力学更活跃行星之间的过渡区域。该宿主恒星是已知拥有凌星巨行星的最明亮恒星之一,为行星大气与星震学研究提供了机会。
