摘要
最近的调查表明，大多数甚至所有正常星系都托管着质量为其球状星系可见质量的1/100至1/1000的巨型黑洞。各种论据 suggest 这些星系至少在过去的视界内发生了一次合并，黑洞也因此合并。这导致每年约有1个巨型黑洞的合并率。
