通过比较线性质量公式的SU(3)破缺尺度，表明最低的矢量、轴矢量和标量介子都具有构型，而基态八重态和十重态重子是。此外，采用夸克级线性σ模型来预言类似的和态。最后，证明了标量(980)和(980)介子的近似质量简并是偶然的。
