摘要
量子自旋霍尔绝缘体(QSHI)以其源于绝缘体态非平凡拓扑的导通边缘通道为表征。单层 1T'-WTe2 在输运测量中展现出这种量子化边缘电导,但由于其半金属性质,相干长度被限制在约 100 nm。为克服此限制,我们提出一种应变工程手段来调节电子结构,其中沿 a 轴的压缩应变或沿 b 轴的拉伸应变均可将 1T'-WTe2 驱动至全带隙绝缘相。分子束外延与原位扫描隧道显微镜/谱学的联合研究随后证实了这一相变。同时,拓扑边缘态在应变存在下被发现非常稳健。
