摘要
回顾了seniority量子数在多体系统中的应用。简要总结了Racah在原子光谱学背景下引入seniority的过程。讨论了Racah原始思想的若干扩展：单壳层中全同核子的seniority、将其推广到多个非简并壳层以及包含中子和质子的系统。为说明其至今仍具实用性，介绍了seniority在自旋原子玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体中的最新应用。
