摘要
使用低体电阻率玻璃制成的电极似乎是使电阻板室(RPC)适应即将到来的CBM实验高计数率环境的一种有前景的方法。一个采用磷酸盐玻璃电极(体电阻率约为10^10欧姆厘米)的四间隙RPC样品,已用最小电离粒子束进行了飞行时间应用研究。测试结果令人满意:在粒子计数率达到18 kHz/cm²时,效率保持在95%以上,时间分辨率保持在120 ps以内。计数率从2.25 kHz/cm²增加到18 kHz/cm²,导致时间谱中估计的“尾部”比例从1.5%增加到4%。
