在 JINR Flerov 核反应实验室的 U-400M 回旋加速器上，研究了 Timepix 探测器对动能为 77 和 158.4 MeV 的氖离子的响应。用于这些测量的传感器由铬补偿砷化镓和硅制成。在配备 Si 传感器的 Timepix 探测器中观察到了众所周知的所谓“火山口效应”，而在配备 GaAs:Cr 传感器的 Timepix 探测器中完全没有观察到这种效应。本文描述了配备 GaAs:Cr 传感器的 Timepix 探测器在重离子辐照下的行为，并与基于 Si 传感器的探测器进行了比较。同时提出了 GaAs:Cr 探测器中不出现“火山口”效应的可能原因。
