“公众在环”：在争议性公共政策领域促进算法决策的审慎商议

摘要
本立场论文提供了一个框架，用以思考如何更好地将人类影响纳入争议性公共政策议题的算法决策中。借鉴传播学文献中的洞见，我们引入了“公众在环（public(s)-in-the-loop）”方法，并列举了该方法的三个核心特征：作为多元政治实体的公众、通过商议进行的集体决策，以及公众的建构。它探讨了这些特征如何推进我们对争议性公共政策领域（如累犯预测）中AI设计利益相关者参与的理解。最后，它为HCI界支持此项工作勾勒了部分研究议程。
